Astronomy Resources
One of my hobbies is astronomy. For a period of time, I collaborated on a project for the visual observation of double stars. As a result of this collaboration, I developed a custom database application to manage observations, as well as a tool for the graphical visualization of double star movement. Here you will find resources and documentation regarding astronomy in general, as well as my own resources on specific areas of study.
The Sixth Catalog of Orbits of Visual Binary Stars contains about 4000 calculated orbits of visual binary stars. It is maintained by the United States Naval Observatory (USNO) . The Georgia State University (GSU) maintains a mirrored version of the catalog, allowing you to download digital versions.
